- Hosts ‘AX Hackathon’ to discover ideas for work automation and productivity improvement, and promotes the commercialization of outstanding works

- Operates AI Agent Expert Training Program for All Employees to Strengthen Company-wide AX Competence

In line with the major transition to the AX (AI Transformation) era, POSCO DX (CEO Shim Min-suk) is officially ushering in the ‘One Person, N-Agent Era,’ moving beyond the ‘One Person, One Agent’ model, and is embarking on a company-wide effort to strengthen its AX capabilities.

Since declaring its transition to an ‘AI Native Company’ last year, POSCO DX has been focusing on activities to equip all employees with the capacity to not only utilize multiple agents in their work but also to independently develop necessary agents. To this end, POSCO DX hosted the ‘AX Hackathon 2026’ to enhance employees’ AI utilization capabilities and provide a platform for them to directly implement work automation.

The POSCO DX ‘AX Hackathon 2026,’ which began last April, proceeded amidst high interest with a total of 75 teams and 188 participants. In the final round, six teams that developed an AI-based screen design automation platform, a recruitment agent collaboration system, a framework migration agent, a battery and materials AX Insight Portal, an AI workspace for internal business, and an adaptive multi-agent communication assistant with high collaboration understanding advanced to the main stage to compete by demonstrating their AI models.

The grand prize of the ‘AX Hackathon 2026’ was awarded to the ‘PIXEL’ team for implementing the ‘AI-based screen design automation platform.’ Winners will receive prizes and the opportunity to attend a global AI conference abroad. This initiative goes beyond simple awards, reflecting a commitment to fostering experts who will lead AI innovation by allowing participants to experience the latest global AI trends firsthand. The AI agents selected as outstanding entries are planned to be further enhanced and launched as official services.

In addition, POSCO DX has been operating the ‘AX Academy Program’ since this year to systematically strengthen its employees’ AI utilization capabilities. The program is structured to allow for step-by-step learning, ranging from AI basics to the planning, design, and development of AI agents. It focuses on enhancing practical skills that can be immediately applied in industrial settings by utilizing the latest no-code-based AI development tools, such as Dify. Based on this foundation, POSCO DX plans to cultivate a large number of in-house AI agent experts.

A POSCO DX official stated, “With the spread of AI, utilizing AI agents has become a natural trend, and going forward, efficiently utilizing multiple agents will be the key to the success of AX.” The official added, “We will strengthen company-wide AI capabilities to accelerate our transition into an AI Native Company and leap forward as a leading AX enterprise.”
