2040 Carbon Neutral roadmap
POSCO DX has established a vision and a mid- to long-term roadmap to achieve ‘carbon neutral by 2040.’ While recognizing climate change as a significant risk, it also recognizes it as a strategic opportunity to leap forward as an eco-friendly company, and is making various efforts to set and implement greenhouse gas reduction targets across all business activities.

Environmental Management
POSCO DX has established and operates a company-wide environmental management system to fulfill the needs of the times and its social responsibility for the environment.
We are engaged in continuous improvement activities by setting environmental policies and goals, and especially when conducting business that affects the environment, we strive to minimize the impact on the environment by identifying environmental laws and regulations and important environmental aspects and conducting activities according to the PDCA (Plan-Do-Check-Act) cycle.

Environmental management organizational structure
POSCO DX organizes a company-wide organizational system to operate an effective environmental management system. The environmental management team establishes environmental policies and goals and supports the monitoring and improvement of company-wide environmental management activities according to detailed implementation plans. Business teams are responsible for environmental risk prevention activities as well as compliance with relevant laws and regulations when conducting environment-related business, and support teams are responsible for green procurement and operation of environmental facilities.

Environmental management promotion plan and performance
In order to maintain and develop the environmental management system, we established and implemented a yearly environmental management promotion plan and set management indicators (KPIs) for core goals to manage implementation performance. We also conduct mandatory environmental impact assessments for all projects and utilize environmental laws and regulations and environmental guidebooks to prevent environmental risks and comply with relevant laws and regulations.

Environment-related technical certification, business performance and application cases
POSCO DX is continuously carrying out green efforts, such as reducing environmental impact, reducing carbon energy usage, and minimizing emissions of fine dust and waste by actively utilizing digital technology, while leading eco-friendliness based on digital convergence by actively engaging in low-carbon and eco-friendly technology development.
Developing an industrial smokestack air pollution monitoring solution
We have developed a tele-monitoring system (TMS) solution to monitor dust and pollutants emitted from industrial smokestacks. The TMS is a system that automatically measures the amount and concentration of air pollutants emitted from smokestacks at production sites around the clock and transmits the data to control centers in four regions of the nation under the Ministry of Environment. The solution measures dust, sulfur oxides, nitrogen oxides, ammonia, carbon monoxide, hydrogen chloride, and hydrogen fluoride, and we have passed all 28 test items of the Korea Environment Corporation's air pollution process test criteria.
Utilizing our office building to generate renewable energy
POSCO DX continuously generates its own electricity by installing solar power generation facilities in idle spaces at its Pohang main office and Gwangyang office.
Conducting environmental activities in daily life
To reduce CO2 emissions in our daily lives by minimizing the use of disposable cups, we run an eco-friendly campaign called "A Building Without Disposable Cups," where all employees use tumblers. We also make environmental protection in our way of life even through small practices, such as installing waste battery collection boxes in our offices.
