- Delivered to material companies such as Hyosung Advanced Materials, Lotte Energy Materials, & POSCO Future M.

- Elevating RPA solutions through hyperautomation linked to AI technology

POSCO DX is expanding its RPA solution to the materials industry on the heels of financial industry. POSCO DX has delivered its RPA solution, ‘A.WORKS’ to Hyosung Advanced Materials, which produces industrial materials. With POSCO DX's RPA solution, Hyosung Advanced Materials has adeptly automated their inventory management, such as exchange rate and industrial trend management, as well as report writing in the manufacturing and quality areas.

Prior to this, A.WORKS was also adopted by Lotte Energy Materials, a secondary battery materials producer. By applying RPA and automating the quality control reports that employees had been composing by downloading and tweaking mass manufacturing production data every day, work efficiency has improved by more than 90%. POSCO Future M, which produces secondary battery materials, is also applying RPA to product testing and evaluation, refractory manufacturing, and research management, resulting in significant cost reduction in the manufacturing and production sector.

Through this feat, POSCO DX is able to expand its solutions end-users to the material industry sector, on the heels of the existing business with Hana Bank, National Credit Union Federation of Korea, JB Financial Group, Korea Electric Power Corporation, Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs, and Kangwon National University.

Recently, RPA is being advanced by combining with AI technology to implement hyperautomation. Following these changes, POSCO DX also linked its A.WORKS 3.0 with AI-OCR (optical character recognition) and AI chatbots, and is continuously exploring ways to apply generative AI, such as ChatGPT, to RPA.

Hyperautomation: A technology that automates and optimizes work processes by combining RPA with various digital technologies, tools, and platforms such as artificial intelligence, machine learning, and natural language processing (NLP).
