With security-related accidents occurring frequently these days due to new or unidentified types of hacking such as DDoS, POSCO ICT has been certified by the Ministry of Science, ICT, and Future Planning as a company specializing in security service operation.

A company specializing in security service operation means one of those companies capable of securely and reliably performing the security control service of public agencies such as central government agencies or local governments, in accordance with the Regulation on National Cyber Security Management.

In order to acquire certification from the Ministry of Science, ICT, and Future Planning, a company should have a certain level of advanced technical workforce related to security operation service along with actual result worth USD $3 million or more for a period of three years in implementing security control projects, etc.

Since 2013, POSCO ICT has been providing 23 POSCO Group companies with overall services in integrated security control such as security infringement detection response service provided 24 hours/7 days, diagnosis of simulated hacking, analysis of malicious codes and hacking infringement type, etc.

POSCO ICT sees the certification it acquired as an opportunity to improve service quality and reliability of the security operation service, moving forward with its plan to expand the security control business to open market including especially public agencies.
