On the 24th of November, AI Framework called “TensorMSA” developed by the employees of POSCO IT business division received the National IT Industry Promotion Agency Director’s Award at the “11th Open Software Developer Contest” held by the Ministry of Science and ICT.

TensorMSA' is an open source based framework tool that enables easy implementation of related functions when developing AI-based solutions. By applying this, it is possible to recognize not only existing structured data as AI-based, but also unstructured data such as natural language and images, self-learning and easily implement the control functions effectively.

Employees at the POSCO IT business division (Kim Susang, Paik Jeehyun, Park Sungchan, and Kim Youngjae) have developed this framework by organizing a self-learning group and studied and researched related technologies. AI-based people search-engine called Chatbot serviced to POSCO employees was also developed by applying this framework. POSCO ICT plans to expand the scope of framework utilization by continuously upgrading AI functions of PosFrame with 'TensorMSA'.

The Open Software Developer Contest, celebrating its 11th anniversary, is held to strengthen the technological competence of open source based software and to expand its ecosystem. About 400 teams including domestic private enterprises, research centers, and individuals participated in this year’s contest.
