POSCO ICT appointed president Son Geon-Jae as the company’s new representative director at the general meeting of shareholders and the BOD meeting held on March 18.

In addition, the company appointed executive director Oh Sung-Chel (Head of Industry Convergence Business Office) as a new inside director and reappointed Han Sung-Hee, vice president of POSCO, as a non-standing director. As a result, the new board of directors of POSCO ICT is composed of Representative Director Son Geon-Jae, Vice President Han Seong-Hee (non-standing director), Executive Director Oh Sung-Chel (inside director), and the Outside Director Ahn Hyun-Sil, an editorial writer of The Korea Economic Daily.

POSCO ICT plans to establish smart factories at affiliated companies including POSCO by combining IT technology with its EIC engineering capability to support sustainable growth of the group and secure distinct competitiveness that aims to be a ‘Global PEPCOM Top Tier’ company. 

POSCO ICT held this year’s general meeting of shareholders at the head office in Pohang as part of the field-oriented management being implemented at the level of the POSCO Group. The company provided shuttle bus service from Pohang Station and Singyeongju Station to the head office for the convenience of the shareholders who participated in the meeting.
