- Announcement of Vision of 'Creating Green ICT Future'
- Promoting of Convergence and Eco-Friendly Green Growth Technology

POSCO ICT (CEO Nam-suk Hur), found with the integration of Posdata and Poscon, established and officially announced its new visions and mid-term business goals.

On the 1st, POSCO ICT announced that it had established its new vision, “Creating Green ICT Future” with relevant persons including CEO Nam-suk Hur were present at its Bundang office, Gyeonggi-do. POSCO ICT also established a mid-term business goal of reaching a sales amount of KRW 2 billion by 2012. Employees were explained of the vision at the announcement ceremony and each division strengthened their will to achieve this vision during a meeting.

Especially, during the Announcement of Vision Ceremony on this day, CEO Nam-suk Hur made a presentation on the newly established vision, “Countdown POSCO ICT Dream!” and explained strategies on how to achieve this vision to the employees.

The vision of POSCO ICT promotes that POSCO ICT will lead the convergence and eco-friendly green growth trend by integrating the industry and technology and by actively responding to the current industrial environment in which eco-friendly green growth is the trend.

In addition to the new vision, the slogan of ‘POSCO ICT 2012’ was also established. The ‘2’ in 2012 indicates Posdata, Poscon, engineering and IT technology. And the ‘0’ indicates that the 2 companies Posdata and Poscon have merged into 1. It also symbolizes globalizations with its round shape.

To achieve its vision, POSCO ICT plans to promote engineering projects, IT services and automation projects, such as construction, rail works and plants, and to promote green growth projects such as smart grid and U-Eco city. And in cooperation with the POSCO family, it plans to increase its power of execution to achieve the vision by establishing a system on overseas ironworks with POSCO family companies, by increasing synergy effects through advancements in projects relevant to construction, rail works and plants, and by promoting innovative projects that will strengthen its global competitiveness.

CEO Nam-suk Hur wrote in his CEO letter sent to all employees after the Announcement of Vision Ceremony, “Communication and trust are the most important elements in achieving our vision. Let us break the wall between employees and the company so that we may achieve innovation through communications. And based on the trust that we have established, let us promote a virtuous circulation structure that will produce new synergy effects.”

POSCO ICT also held a “mixing a large bibimbap” performance which symbolized the will of all employees to achieve the vision during the Announcement of Vision Ceremony. Also, Wook Sun, President & CEO of Nongshim was invited to present a lecture on the ‘Happy Sharing 125.’
