POSCO ICT (CEO Hur Nam-Suk) won the Prime Minister Award (the grand prize) of “First Korea Knowledge Grand Award.” Knowledge Grand Award combines “Knowledge Administration Grade Award” managed by the Ministry of Public Administration and Security and “Knowledge Innovation Grand Award” managed by the Maeil Business Newspaper.
POSCO ICT has been evolving VP (Visual Planning), the way of working for POSCO Families, according to their specific conditions. Also, POSCO ICT has been performing the activity of improving the business through D+ task activities and accumulating the results as knowledge, and associating the activity results with quarterly evaluation. POSCO ICT seems to receive the award because this virtuous cycle was highly recognized from the outside of the company.
As POSCO ICT won the grand prize, CEO Hur Nam-Suk himself presented the knowledge management activity case and was very well-received by audiences of the World Knowledge Forum, which was held at Walker Hill Hotel, Seoul, on October 11, held by Maeil Business Newspaper. Companies and organizations have been benchmarking POSCO ICT’s knowledge management activities and corporate culture activities. Over 80 companies and organizations have benchmarked POSCO ICT so far. Recently, at the request of the Ministry of Knowledge and Economy, POSCO ICT gave a presentation about innovation activities to 600 public servants on the occasion of the ministry’s monthly meeting held at Gwacheon Government Complex auditorium, including “gratitude movement” that is being implemented as a part of corporate culture movements.
