The new CEO, Jung Duk-kyun, began his official duties with an inauguration ceremony at POSCO ICT Pangyo office on the 4th of January.

Jung graduated from Busan National University with a degree in computer statistics and completed his master's degree in information and communication at Pohang University of Science and Technology.

Since joining POSCO in 1988, he has served as the head of POSCO ICT Solution R&D Center, System Management Division, and recently as the head of the information planning office, which serves as the CIO of POSCO Group, and is known as an expert with extensive knowledge and management skills in related industries.

Jung plans to actively support POSCO Group, including steel and new materials, to strengthen its original competitiveness by converging IT and EIC engineering in the era of the company plans to strengthen its original competitiveness. In particular, businesses with proven performance and competitiveness, such as smart factory, will continue to strengthen, and based on this, they will actively target foreign markets such as heavy industries and chemicals and create new growth engines.

In his inauguration speech, Jung mentioned, "We will strive to achieve "growth" through "innovation" on the framework of POSCO Group's management ideology, "We will create a culture of working creatively and communicating and collaborating freely between organizations and generations."
