POSCO ICT (CEO Jung Deok-kyun) is supplying the RPA (Robotic Process Automation) solution to Hana Bank to enter financial market.
Through this project, RPA will be applied to 24 tasks of Hana Bank such as non-face-to-face verification on corporations and providing marketing information on foreign invested companies, and work automation will be promoted. Foreign RPA solution was mostly applied to the primary financial sector, but the financial industry is prospecting that this project will become the opportunity to expand the domestic solution.
From 2018, POSCO ICT performed joint development with Hana TI on the RPA solution, ‘Work-Life Bot’ that is optimized for the financial work, and applied the solution to Hana Financial Group. ‘Work-Life Bot’ was developed based on POSCO ICT’s independent RPA solution of ‘A.WORKS’, and ‘Work-Life Bot 2.0’ launched in the second semester of last year was not only improved with user convenience, but also was upgraded to enable collaboration between individual bot and efficient resource management.
RPA is a system that automates the repetitive human work through the software robot. It does not change the existing work system much, and as the system can simplify and automate the work through relatively short period and low investment cost, many companies are recently introducing the solution actively. Especially, experts are expecting that this system can reduce the human errors such as entry error, etc. in the financial field that has many standardized and repetitive work, and this system will be used more widely in the financial industry.
POSCO ICT launched their independent RPA solution of A.WORKS to provide the solution to various fields such as the manufacturing, financial, distribution and public sectors, etc. Recently, the system was upgraded to not only enabling one bot to process the simple and repetitive work, but also enabling several bots to collaborate and to perform more complicated and important tasks. In addition, the system was simplified in preparation for the period of 1 bot being assigned to each employee to enable the work personnel to prepare the script (program) directly on instructing the work to the bot, and AI technology was converged to make simple decisions independently. Accordingly, the system is evolving into the self-learning Smart RPA to open the RPA 2.0 era.
