POSCO ICT to establish Smart Factory for Bn Steel and Bn Steela in BusanField management system for industrial site
2021.11.09
POSCO ICT has developed a smart field management system to enhance safe work and efficiency at industrial sites. It includes functions that reduce safety accidents and increase the overall level of process/quality management by integrating and managing risk factors scattered throughout the site.
Attention is being paid to safety management using AI and IoT technologies at a time when social interest in industrial safety is increasing ahead of the Critical Disaster Punishment Act, which will take effect in 2022. First of all, AI-based facial recognition technology is used to provide a safe working environment by linking the functions of managing high-risk workers and checking whether safety equipment is worn with the access system. In addition, it has a smart security system that detects fire or smoke through smart CCTVs and automatically detects attempts to invade security areas without permission.
POSCO ICT's smart field management system is characterized by integrating tasks essential for the field, such as process management, environmental management, completion management, and quality management, into one system. Through this, tasks scattered in the workplace can be operated in one system, enabling efficient on-site management. Each function is composed of modular components, and only necessary functions can be selected and customized by reflecting the characteristics of each site.
POSCO ICT's smart field management system provides cloud-based services, making it easy to spread to regional sites. Along with this, it is a great advantage to be able to build a system at a more reasonable cost in a short period of time by standardizing and providing processes verified at various sites in the form of packages.
POSCO ICT plans to apply a smart field management system to the baggage handling system expansion construction site of Incheon Airport Terminal 2 and the construction site promoted by the Gyeonggi Provincial Government, while expanding its application to large SOC business sites such as roads/port/tunnels in the future.
