- Joint development of a smart CCTV platform in cooperation with ‘Intellivix’, a vision AI specialist company

- Technology linkage between the two companies to pursue joint development and commercialization of next-generation complex cognitive platform  

POSCO DX (CEO Duk-kyoon Jung) has decided to cooperate with Intellivix (Co-CEO Eun-soo Choi & Jeong-hoon Jang), a vision AI specialist company, in the field of smart CCTV and next-generation multimodal-based complex cognitive platform development. 

On the 30th, POSCO DX reached an MOU for ‘smart CCTV and complex cognitive platform cooperation’ at the Pangyo building with corporate officials in attendance, including POSCO DX President Duk-kyoon Jung and Intellivix Co-CEO Eun-soo Choi.     

Through this collaboration, the two companies are poised to pursue joint development of a smart CCTV platform. POSCO DX, which has been engaged in installing smart CCTVs in industrial sites like steel mills, is responsible for overall system development and business discovery, and Intellivix is in charge of supplying video analysis solutions. 

POSCO DX has been undertaking various smart factory projects to detect anomalous behavior of workers, safety accidents in the workplace, and quality abnormalities, and take proactive measures with the installation of smart CCTVs at production sites. Meanwhile, Intellivix brings a proprietary AI-based video control system that integrates the functions necessary for video control, such as video analysis, integrated control, selective control, etc.  

The two companies also plan to work together to develop a next-generation complex cognitive platform. They are kickstarting technological advancement by linking POSCO DX's digital transformation capabilities that combine IT and OT with Intellibix's vision AI technology, and will forge ahead with technological collaboration and commercialization to develop a complex cognitive platform that enables the operation of a highly intelligent smart factory by complexly analyzing various IoT-based multimodal data as well as video. 

A POSCO DX official said, “With the collaboration between POSCO DX, which has prowess in building and operating smart CCTVs in various industrial like steel mills, and Intellivix, which boasts unrivaled technology related to smart CCTV, we expect that the spread of AI-based video analysis technology will progress more rapidly at industrial sites,” and added, “We will also successfully propel the next-generation complex cognitive platform development and take the lead in constructing intelligent factories.”
