- Establishing a dedicated 'AI Workforce TF' organization and promoting a full-scale transformation into an AI Workforce platform company.
- Smart Factory & Automation Industry Exhibition ' held at COEX for three days starting March 4th Showcasing core AI technology capabilities

POSCO DX is accelerating its transformation into an "AI Native Company" by consolidating its industrial-specific AX/DX capabilities. The company is developing and deploying AI agents applicable to office work and manufacturing, and is expanding AI and robot-based Physical AI to support the implementation of intelligent factories for the group's core businesses.

From March 4th to 6th, the ' Smart Factory · Automation Industry Exhibition (Automation World 2026)' will be held at COEX in Seoul for three days, and POSCO DX from POSCO Group will participate to share the group's AXDX promotion cases.

The POSCO DX exhibition hall, themed Your AX Journey with POSCO DX, the AI Native Company, consists of three theme zones : POSCO DX Overview, which introduces the companys vision and safety platform; AI Workforce, which contains AI-based work innovation; and Intelligent Factory, where you can experience AX/DX technologies in industrial sites, showcasing core technological capabilities in the AI field.

First, the "AI Workforce" themed zone showcases a futuristic work environment where AI agents collaborate with people across offices and manufacturing sites to solve problems. The "Intelligent Factory" themed zone showcases "Robotic Automation," which supports the entire process of introducing industrial robots, and "Physical AI," which accelerates facility autonomy through virtual environment simulation. In particular, a demonstration of automated port unloading equipment utilizing OT, IT, and AI convergence technologies, as well as a virtual test run experience where steel coils are unloaded, allow visitors to vividly experience the process of implementing an intelligent factory.

POSCO DX is actively adopting "AI Workforce," where AI agents collaborate with people to improve work efficiency. For office work, the company is developing and implementing "AI Employee," which perform everything from repetitive tasks to specialized tasks, and for production sites, "AI Operator," which monitor, judge, and control operational conditions without human intervention. Furthermore, the company is developing and operating Agentee, its own AI Workforce platform that integrates the entire lifecycle of AI agents, from creation to operation, evaluation, and redeployment. To this end, the company established the "AI Workforce TF" in December of last year, establishing an organizational structure dedicated to consulting for AX transitions, AI agent development, and operation. This is accelerating solution development and field deployment.

Currently, the company is developing approximately 110 AI agents, expanding across all areas of its business, including human resources, purchasing, and business analysis. The company explained that it has developed an AI agent that automatically verifies ERP and business management system data for accounting closing, performing settlement and report creation, reducing work time by approximately 80%. Furthermore, based on the experience data of experienced industrial workers, the company is implementing AI agents optimized for operational processes, including unit equipment operation, data processing, and automated decision-making.

POSCO DX is also expanding "Physical AI," a fusion of AI and robotics, into its manufacturing sites. The goal is to introduce industrial robots to high-risk, high-intensity sites and automatically control physical equipment and robots in industrial settings through AI. To achieve this, cranes, port unloading equipment, and raw material yards are being implemented. We are implementing automated operating systems by applying shape recognition AI and precision position control technologies to physical equipment such as reclaimers . Furthermore, we have established a development system that simulates and develops optimized AI models in a virtual environment that closely replicates industrial sites, and even remotely conducts on-site test runs.

Meanwhile, POSCO Group Chairman Chang In-hwa emphasized the Group AX strategy at the first employee communication event of the year on the 6th of last month, saying, “Going forward, we must transform into a goal-oriented ‘Mission Oriented AX’ strategy, including intelligent autonomous manufacturing (Process), top-level work performance capabilities (Work), and new value creation (Value).” He added, “To this end, we plan to focus on core tasks to increase the possibility of success and strengthen external cooperation for rapid application.
